Stevens Engineers & Constructors, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking a Project Engineer to support heavy industrial construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to manage information flow, field quality, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Some professional experience in industrial construction (concrete, excavation, piping, mechanical, structural or equipment setting) preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple variables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and precise technical writing.

Responsabilités

• Generate, log, track, and process RFIs and product submittals to keep data moving between field crews and design engineers.
• Evaluate drawings revisions and contract modifications for design discrepancies and cost impacts; disseminate updates to the field.
• Maintain meticulous project records and closeout documentation.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to verify quality and safety compliance.
• Perform field measurements and layout verifications for alignment.
• Prepare quantity take-offs to support change orders, procurement logs, and cost forecasting.
• Assist in developing and updating the master construction schedule using Primavera P6.
• Track daily labor, equipment, and supplier invoices against budget.
• Promote and enforce EHS programs on-site and ensure proper onboarding and material delivery.
