Job summary

HITT Contracting seeks a Commercial Construction Project Manager for an industrial project based in southern Virginia. You will lead a seasoned site team, manage budgets, schedules, RFPs, and daily operations while coordinating with stakeholders to deliver complex work on time.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial/industrial construction, strong knowledge of project controls software, and willingness to work out of town with per diem support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 5+ years in commercial/industrial construction with GC experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety documentation and site standards.
• Create and manage project budgets.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages and milestones.
• Lead project meetings and owner reporting, ensuring timely updates.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and subcontract changes.
• Schedule projects and supervise quality control and logistics.
• Close out projects efficiently and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Build and maintain client relationships to assess needs and solutions.
• Supervise assistant operations staff and collaborate with site team.
