Job summary

ITAC, a national engineering and construction firm, seeks a Construction Manager to lead project management and administrative efforts across industrial programs. The role focuses on schedules, budgets, risk mitigation, and collaboration with multiple project managers on site at West Haven, CT, or client sites in NJ.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in construction management, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Construction or Engineering Discipline preferred.
• 3-5+ years in construction management or construction administration supporting projects.
• Experience building schedules.
• Familiarity with multidiscipline project environments and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
• Experience in manufacturing and industrial construction environments.
• Experience with manufacturing plant shutdowns.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and applicable safety standards.
• Knowledge of general plant safety requirements (including, hot work permits, lock‑out tag‑out, etc.)
• Knowledge of permitting through AHJs.
• Ability to troubleshoot production and process issues under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. This position is full time contract work anticipated to last 6 months with potential to direct hire with the client. The typical base salary range for this position is between $90,000-$140,000
