Job summary

Gulf Coast Industrial in TX is seeking a skilled Painter to apply industrial coatings on tanks, piping, and structures in accordance with client specs and manufacturer guidance. You will maintain and calibrate painting equipment, mix coatings, and construct containment to prevent overspray while upholding strict safety standards.

Candidates should have proven experience with epoxy, urethanes, vinylesters, and hazardous waste awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience in applying industrial coatings to structures, tanks, piping, and surfaces.
• Proficient in spraying to maintain even milage.
• Knowledge of epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, vinylesters.

Responsibilities

• Applies coatings to various structures, tanks, piping, and miscellaneous surfaces in accordance with customers' specifications and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Assembles, maintains, repairs, and cleans painting equipment.
• Mix and thin the coatings according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Construct protective enclosures to avoid overspray of customers' equipment.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
• At all times perform work in the safest possible manner.
• Immediately correct any unsafe condition.
• Perform onsite QA/QC functions, including paperwork and evaluation of employees.
