Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a journeyman-level HVAC Technician in Santa Barbara, CA to maintain and repair central plant equipment, including large chillers, towers, and pumps. You will perform testing, startups, and commissioning, while coordinating site-wide maintenance and on-call emergency support.

The role requires 5 years of journeyman experience, EPA certification, and strong knowledge of chiller/HVAC/central plant systems. A valid driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of journeyman-level work experience and technical schooling.
• Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants.
• HVAC large tonnage field knowledge is required.
• Must be available for emergency service calls on rotation.
• EPA certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and other equipment.
• Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
• Availability for emergency service calls on-call through rotation.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance and troubleshooting for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all related equipment.
