Placements24 is recruiting a Chemical Engineer for a major industrial chemicals manufacturer in Welkom. You will oversee large-scale production processes, monitor performance, troubleshoot deviations, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 2–4 years of relevant experience and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to operations and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic understanding of process control systems and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in a chemical plant setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control industrial chemical processes for optimal performance and quality.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular process audits and performance analyses.
• Collaborate with QA to maintain product specifications.
• Develop and update SOPs for production processes.
• Assist in safety inspections and adopt process safety recommendations.
• Support new process technologies and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain production records and generate performance reports.
• Support training of plant operators.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
