Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer with a specialization in optimization to advance our client's chemical manufacturing operations in Welkom. You will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and boost profitability while ensuring safety and compliance.

Collaborating with plant operations and R&D, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and present actionable recommendations

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab).
• Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles including kinetics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze complex chemical processes to identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement.
• Model process behavior using simulation and data analysis tools to predict outcomes of changes.
• Develop strategies to reduce energy consumption, minimize waste, and improve product yield.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective implementation of process modifications and monitor performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
