Job summary

Hydro Aluminium Metal North America is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital and process improvement projects across the aluminum value chain. You will oversee feasibility, design, execution, and close-out while coordinating plant operations, engineering, procurement, and external contractors.

The role requires a technical undergraduate degree and at least five years of progressive project experience in manufacturing or process operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in technical discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on experience delivering capital and process-improvement projects.
• Experience coordinating with operations, engineering, procurement, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Define project tasks, resources, and staffing plans.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical specs, contracts, and change orders.
• Coordinate equipment selection, procurement, and vendor management.
• Track progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans for leadership.
• Manage onsite execution, including contractors, deliveries, and startup.
• Ensure site readiness, logistics, and installation sequencing.
• Conduct close-out, handover, and lessons-learned reviews.
