Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead capital projects from scope through execution in aluminum extrusion facilities. You will oversee electrical power and control systems, upgrades, and commissioning, working with plant teams, contractors, and maintenance staff to ensure reliability and efficiency.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet safety, cost, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with million-dollar capital projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, on-time, and on-budget development and execution of capital projects.
• Provide electrical engineering and design from concept through hand-off using PESHA process.
• Manage contractors to ensure safe, productive execution of work.
• Collaborate with internal/external engineering resources, equipment suppliers, and construction contractors.
• Perform engineering tasks including problem-solving, design calculations, equipment selection, and drawing management.
• Ensure proper operation and safety of equipment and processes.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve manufacturing value and system performance.
• Be present on the shop floor to evaluate progress and troubleshoot issues.
