Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of capital projects in an industrial setting at our Albany, Oregon site. You will translate objectives into detailed plans, manage contractors, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with safety and quality at the forefront.

The role requires 3–5+ years of end-to-end project management, strong vendor coordination, and experience with RFPs/RFQs, change orders, and design reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of end-to-end project management in industrial settings.
• Experience managing construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Experience managing contractors in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Hands-on construction management including inspection and constructability analysis.
• Ability to develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and cost forecasts.
• Experience preparing and managing RFPs/RFQs and coordinating vendor selection.
• Strong background in change-order management and project coordination.
• Experience with design reviews with engineering and operations teams.
• Contract experience in construction projects and capital investments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams.
• Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple projects.
• Experience ensuring safety and quality compliance in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of capital projects from concept through commissioning and handoff.
• Translate approved PMs into detailed scopes, schedules, and cost forecasts.
• Prepare and issue RFPs and RFQs to contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate vendor selection and support contract negotiation with internal stakeholders.
• Manage contractor relationships through project lifecycle with onboarding and oversight.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned to capital plan.
• Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct constructability analyses and design reviews to optimize outcomes.
• Coordinate change orders with scope, cost, and schedule impacts.
• Perform site inspections to verify progress and quality against specs.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, safety, leadership, and partners for issue resolution.
• Lead or support FAT and SAT testing to validate equipment.
• Ensure closeout documentation and turnover of as-built drawings and manuals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate work of contractors, engineering consultants, and internal teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in PM processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Manage multiple projects with safety and stakeholder focus.
