Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Project Architect – Industrial Buildings to craft elevations, sections, 3D renderings and details for industrial facilities. You will develop designs from sketches to BIM models, coordinating with project teams and clients to meet budget and schedule.

Qualified candidates bring a Master’s in Architecture (or licensure-aligned degree), CA registration, and 8+ years of experience, plus proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and related tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture or bachelor’s degree in support of licensure criteria.
• Registered Architect in CA.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural practice.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, organization, and directing work through the project life cycle.
• Develops design via sketches, models, diagrams and massing studies.
• Uses BIM to develop 3D models of buildings and components.
• Participates in design critiques and pin-ups.
• Interprets building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares documentation across architectural phases including plans, elevations, and details.
• Participates in bidding, addenda, and negotiation.
• Reviews submittals, RFIs, and site observation reports.
• Leads coordination meetings with internal and external teams and clients.
• Participates in client requirements meetings and value analysis.
• Assists in project specifications and coordination with construction documents.
• Contributes to constructability reviews and quality control.
