Job summary

The Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Boiler Operator (Crew C) to join the maintenance team. The role focuses on operating the boiler system, performing repairs, and maintaining safety and efficiency across production areas.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a structured training program. The position requires hands-on work in extreme environments and weekend/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CIRO certification within 1 year, and 2 years’ experience OR recognized boiler safety training.
• Must complete the Structured Job Training program within recommended timeframe to remain in the position permanently.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler system safely and efficiently with the maintenance team leaders.
• Ensure boiler logs, water chemical reports, and rail car documents are accurate.
• Unloading cooking oil and distribution to processing lines; monitor fuel oil storage.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauling of boiler equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with SOPs and company policies.
