Bourbon & Bones Chophouse and Bar – Square One Concepts is seeking a reliable Boiler Cook to prepare diverse dishes using industrial boilers in a high-volume kitchen. You will follow recipes, monitor batch cooking times, and ensure food safety and quality across large quantities.

The role requires 18+ years old, a Food Handlers Certification, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and proper hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication with kitchen staff.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial boilers to cook large batches of food (soups, stews, sauces, pasta, grains) according to recipes.
• Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent flavor and texture.
• Prep ingredients such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats and measuring spices.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper doneness.
• Adjust seasonings to taste while maintaining overall quality.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in handling, storing, and disposing of food items.
• Keep boiler and cooking equipment clean, maintained, and operating per manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
• Be adaptable to changing menus and kitchen needs.
