Job summary

Nestlé Allentown is seeking a Boiler Attendant to operate, maintain and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, water treatment systems, and related equipment. You will perform water/chemical treatments, maintain records, and troubleshoot issues to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years heating boiler experience, familiarity with water chemistry, and the ability to work with contractors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating industrial boilers.
• Experience with water chemistry and testing preferred.
• Experience with air compressors and dryers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical components within boiler, compressed air, and water treatment systems, and related equipment.
• Perform water testing on boiler feed-water, condensate, boiler water and plant cooling water; adjust chemical feeds accordingly.
• Prepare water treatment and boiler chemicals safely with PPE.
• Maintain accurate operation and maintenance records for related equipment.
• Diagnose and correct operational problems in the systems under responsibility.
• Assist outside contractors and vendors in troubleshooting and repair of related equipment.
