Job summary

Crown Battery Manufacturing Co is seeking an Industrial Battery Assembler in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on assembling cells, connecting them in series/parallel, and using a hand torch to join intercells and button connections.

Responsibilities include following procedures, reporting non-conformities, supporting corrective actions, PPE use, and proper housekeeping. Candidates should have basic math skills and ability to use hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with safety and environmental training.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast paced setting.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to use some hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow policies, procedures and instructions.
• Identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
• Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
• Proper housekeeping of the work area.
• Follow plant safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Use the battery assembly diagram to determine layout of the battery.
• Place intercells on the cells in proper order; burn remaining intercells and cell button together.
• Examine work orders for any special items.
• Measure cable layout and length; make cables with proper lead head and install onto the battery.
• Be familiar with Crown Quality System documentation and objectives.
