Job summary

Crown Battery in Fremont, Ohio is hiring an IND Battery Assembler for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will assemble cells in series/parallel, burn connections with a hand torch, and verify that parts meet specifications and quality standards.

The role requires 18 years or older, basic math and computer skills, the ability to use hand tools, and safety/environmental training. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred and you will follow all plant safety guidelines and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with safety and environmental training.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast paced setting.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to use some hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow policies, procedures and instructions.
• Identify and report product, process and quality non-conformities to lead personnel.
• Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
• Use personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintain area housekeeping and safety.
• Follow plant safety guidelines and procedures.
• Use battery assembly diagram for layout.
• Place intercells in proper order; burn connections as required.
• Examine work orders for special items.
• Measure cable layout and length; assemble cables onto the battery.
• Comply with Crown Quality System documentation and objectives.
