Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician to build, install, troubleshoot, and support automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and peak performance in our manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams, traveling as needed for installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and field service. Compensation reflects market data and may include discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years in electrical controls wiring, automation equipment assembly, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of electrical controls, wiring practices, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical and pneumatic assembly, installation, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated manufacturing equipment.
Build, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical control panels and automation components (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, vision systems).
Support FAT, SAT, field installations and equipment integration.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings to complete installations.
Use testing equipment to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical guidance and training to plant personnel.
