Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an Automation Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated equipment and control systems on the production floor.

You will set up and program robots and PLCs, read schematics, and document project work using Microsoft Office. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PLC programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial robot programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program/adjust sprue-picking robots on injection molding machines.
• Set up and adjust programs on 6-axis robots (Fanuc).
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and vision systems (brands include Allen-Bradley, Maple Systems, Fanuc, Arburg, Cognex, and Delta).
• Read and follow schematics to assemble end-of-arm tooling for robots.
• Assemble and install custom equipment on the production floor using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems, including relay logic, ladder diagrams, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Use Microsoft Office for project documentation and reporting.
