Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a skilled manufacturing maintenance technician to support 2nd and 3rd shift operations in our Indiana facility. You will prevent breakdowns, minimize downtime, and keep production assets running safely and efficiently.

You will begin training on 1st shift before transitioning to your assigned shift, with duties including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PLC-based systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical repair to ensure reliable production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years as a manufacturing maintenance technician, ideally with PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical repair.
• Bonus exposure: ultra-high vacuum systems; operation of man lifts (scissor and boom) and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Review open work orders in CMMS and prioritize preventive and predictive tasks.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment across lines to catch issues early.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and control system anomalies to restore operation.
• Install, assemble, rebuild, and repair production machinery and facility systems with thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers, lead contracting activities, and contribute to project planning and continuous improvement.
