Alcoa is seeking a Process Control Specialist to support automation and process control across smelting operations. You will implement and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA solutions, collaborate with global teams, and drive improvements that maximize uptime and safety.

The role requires a Electrical Engineering degree and 5–10 years of hands-on experience with automation systems, plus willingness to travel and lead projects across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years designing, developing, commissioning, and supporting automation and process control systems.
• Proven project management experience: scope, estimating, scheduling, execution.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience; Rockwell Automation hardware/software preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with system integration, application development, and technical architecture design.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsabilités

• Support plant problem solving activities and information requirements.
• Participate in the development of strategic technical plans.
• Propose and develop tools and enablers that facilitate the team’s productivity and service delivery capabilities.
• Collaborate with and sometimes lead remote, globally diverse teams to meet strategic priorities.
• Apply engineering and process control principles to manufacturing and facilities processes for safe operations.
• Coordinate with CoE and technology groups to deploy standard practices and technologies.
• Perform deployment, support, or upgrading actions with strong project management.
