Job summary

Clariant Corporation in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Network and Automation Engineer to support automation, controls, and OT networks across the Louisville South and West Plants. You will focus on PLCs, controls integration, troubleshooting, and automation improvements while also backing industrial networking and cybersecurity.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, IT, and partners to modernize legacy systems, identify automation opportunities, and advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation/Automation or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience as field technician or PLC programmer in a chemical/industrial plant.
• Willingness to learn; training and mentorship provided.
• Familiarity with GE Cimplicity and Machine Edition preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (Profibus/Profinet, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support selection, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
• Maintain OT network infrastructure, cybersecurity, data backups, and IT/OT compliance.
• Support PIMS/historian, data analytics, IIoT, and other digitization initiatives.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and vendors on controls requirements and projects.
• Develop and maintain control logic, interlocks, and SIS functions.
• Provide troubleshooting support to maintenance on automation issues.
