Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement and support process control and automation across multiple plant sites in the United States. You will work closely with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to optimize safety, efficiency and product quality.

Strong PLC/SCADA experience is required. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, system upgrades, and data visualization to support MES and reporting tools across plants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in industrial process controls/automation design, operation and maintenance.
• Bachelor’s or Master in Automation/Electrical/Mechatronics with focus on automation preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and networking in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support process control and automation systems at plant sites.
• Troubleshoot and fix instrumentation and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Program and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and networking equipment; develop data reporting tools.
