Job summary

A manufacturing company in the United States is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support the development and implementation of electrical and controls projects. The role involves developing plant automation systems, programming PLCs, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient operations. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a Controls & Automation Engineering role in continuous process manufacturing plants.
  • Familiarity with design/specification of process control panels.
  • Preferred: MES platform experience and familiarity with project management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop/install/commission plant controls and automation systems.
  • Prepare, schedule, and monitor all assigned projects.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to multiple plants.

Skills

Programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs
HMI development experience
Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)
Experience with industrial networking protocols
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Proficiency with standard instrumentation
Ability to use AutoCAD drafting tools

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

AutoCAD
SQL database experience
