Job summary
New Horizons Baking Company in Norwalk, Ohio is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical control systems on our production equipment. You will collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering to minimize downtime and optimize automation.
The role requires 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, AB PLC exposure, and strong problem-solving skills. Occasional travel to Ohio/Indiana facilities may be involved.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical Technology or related field.
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical control systems experience.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, safety circuits.
- Familiarity with AB PLC platforms and HMI systems.
- Knowledge of CAD, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read electrical schematics in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems on production equipment.
- Diagnose issues with PLCs, relay logic, and safety circuits.
- Improve equipment reliability through preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams.
- Modify control systems to optimize processes and downtime.
