Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Co Inc. is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to support, troubleshoot, program, and improve automated control systems in the Lancaster Factory Maintenance area.

The role collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and vendors to ensure reliable equipment performance and safe operations. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of PLC programming experience, knowledge of ladder logic, HMIs, VFDs, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

Requires PLC programming, ladder logic, HMI, and VFD capabilities.
Must read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain PLC systems in factory operations.
Support automated equipment like conveyors, presses, and sensors.
Diagnose issues to reduce downtime and restore safe operation.
Assist with installation, testing, and startup of new equipment.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff.
