Job summary
Crown Holdings, Inc. seeks an experienced Controls & Automation Technician to design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, servo, and motion control systems in a heavy manufacturing setting.
You will develop PLC/HMI programs for new equipment, configure industrial networks, and drive reliability improvements. Applicants should have six or more years in industrial automation, strong electrical and instrument knowledge, and proven ability to work independently while collaborating with
Qualifications
- Minimum six years in industrial maintenance with automation focus.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation.
- Independent worker with excellent troubleshooting and teamwork.
- Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, servo, and motion control systems.
- Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs for new equipment installations.
- Configure and maintain industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus).
- Lead root cause analysis and implement automation improvements to cut downtime.
- Support Lean and CI initiatives; prepare maintenance documentation in CMMS.
