Job summary

Coalmont Electrical Development in the United States seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead comprehensive system design initiatives, drive efficient project completion, and develop professional skills across diverse design challenges and advanced technologies.

You will architect industrial control and automation systems, assist with field engineering, and ensure reliable, cost-effective integration in collaboration with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Self-starter with attention to detail and a strong motivation to complete projects on schedule.
• 2+ years relevant experience.
• Creative problem solver with a customer-based perspective.
• Industrial machinery and automation process experience; experience with design, troubleshooting, and code requirements of industrial control and safety systems.
• Electrical control panel design and layout; understanding SCCR calculations, testing and installation practices.
• Knowledge of industrial Ethernet/IP and Profinet network designs and product selection.
• AC and/or DC Drives and Motors; installation, tuning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of drive systems; understanding drive design and control algorithms.
• Low and Medium Voltage Power Systems; 3-phase power, transformers, protection and NEC/NFPA principles.
• Schematic, modeling, and controls programming software: CAD (AutoCAD Electrical); Power Modeling (ETAP, EZPower, SKM).
• Programming: Rockwell, Siemens and others.
• Knowledge of safety and design standards: NFPA, UL and others.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design industrial control and automation systems including drive systems and power distribution.
• Provide hand-on design work and field engineering support to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve design methodologies and engineering practices.
