Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Self-starter with attention to detail and a strong motivation to complete projects on schedule.
• 2+ years relevant experience.
• Creative problem solver with a customer-based perspective.
• Industrial machinery and automation process experience; experience with design, troubleshooting, and code requirements of industrial control and safety systems.
• Electrical control panel design and layout; understanding SCCR calculations, testing and installation practices.
• Knowledge of industrial Ethernet/IP and Profinet network designs and product selection.
• AC and/or DC Drives and Motors; installation, tuning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of drive systems; understanding drive design and control algorithms.
• Low and Medium Voltage Power Systems; 3-phase power, transformers, protection and NEC/NFPA principles.
• Schematic, modeling, and controls programming software: CAD (AutoCAD Electrical); Power Modeling (ETAP, EZPower, SKM).
• Programming: Rockwell, Siemens and others.
• Knowledge of safety and design standards: NFPA, UL and others.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design industrial control and automation systems including drive systems and power distribution.
• Provide hand-on design work and field engineering support to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve design methodologies and engineering practices.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for executing projects at a high level by leading comprehensive system design initiatives while driving efficient project completion and professional development. This position offers exposure to diverse design challenges, cutting-edge technologies, and complex engineering systems.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Engineering team with the responsibilities of architecting and designing various industrial control and automation systems including drive systems, control panels, PLC and Robotics programming, system integration, and power distribution. The position requires hand-on design work and field engineering support to work both independently and within a team to contribute to design methodologies, technical troubleshooting, and engineering best practices based on sound design principles, customer specifications, and project requirements. A critical aspect of this role involves selecting and specifying the most suitable components and equipment to optimize project performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness while ensuring seamless system integration.
