Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, program, test, commissioning, and troubleshoot industrial automation systems. You will lead projects from concept through completion and mentor junior engineers.

You will work with customers and internal teams to develop electrical schematics, specify equipment, and validate performance through FAT/SAT, ensuring safe and compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, EET, or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial automation/control engineering experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, and motor controls.
• Knowledge of UL 508A and NEC requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong project management and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and completion.

• Develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and control relay logic programs.
• Prepare electrical schematics, system specifications, BOMs, and FAT/SAT documentation.

• Support FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and customer training.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues remotely and onsite.
• Mentor technical personnel and provide engineering guidance.

• Work with designers, customers, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor technical personnel and provide engineering guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation, motors, and motor controls.
• Proficient in electrical schematics, control relay logic, and power distribution.
• Knowledge of UL 508A and NEC requirements.
• Industrial experience in manufacturing, water/wastewater, food & beverage, packaging, pulp & paper, or similar environments.
• Strong project management, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
