Job summary

Hadrian in San Francisco is hiring a Senior Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems powering our factory automation platform. You will shape the strategy for equipment moving parts between processes and integrate with SCADA/MES/ERP.

The role requires 5+ years in automation, hands-on experience with TwinCAT or Siemens S7, and strong motion control and safety knowledge. You will work with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
5+ years designing and deploying automated industrial equipment.
Proficiency programming on Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or Siemens S7.

Responsibilities

Design modular, scalable PLC software architectures across manufacturing use cases.
Oversee equipment deployment from design through commissioning in production environments.
Develop reusable control libraries and frameworks to standardize design across the organization.
Architect multi‑axis motion control solutions involving servo motors, robots, conveyance, and actuators.
Design robust industrial networking architectures for real‑time control and monitoring.
Integrate equipment with SCADA, MES, ERP for data visibility and traceability.
Troubleshoot and optimize electrical systems and power delivery in equipment.
