Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our client in San Francisco. The role focuses on developing and deploying next-generation material handling and conveyance control systems, with hands-on integration of motors, drives, sensors, and industrial networks.

Experience with IEC 61131-3 Structured Text and PLC platforms like Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens is essential. Strong debugging, lab DVT, and deployment support are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or machine control development.
• Strong PLC programming experience using IEC 61131-3 Structured Text.
• Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
• Proven experience developing state-machine based control logic is nice to have.
• Hands-on experience integrating motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks.
• Experience with EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, or Modbus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Familiarity with Linux-based industrial systems and version control tools (Git).
