Job summary

Hadrian is seeking an on-site Automation & Integration Engineer in Torrance, CA to connect production equipment with higher-level software systems and to design scalable data pipelines. You will own schemas, state models, and the end-to-end traceability of build records, working with OEMs and internal teams to enforce interface control documents.

The role requires hands-on PLC experience (Siemens S7, TIA Portal), strong Python and SQL skills, and fluency with OPC-UA/MQTT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or CS field with strong analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience connecting production equipment to MES/SCADA or data platforms.
• Fluent in industrial data protocols and schema governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and own connectivity across the manufacturing fleet, including PLC interfaces.
• Define and govern data models, schemas, and naming conventions for scalable integration.
• Design and operate telemetry pipelines and storage with data integrity guarantees.
• Model machine state, dispatch work, and tie builds to parts and operators.
• Specify interfaces and ensure verification against requirements with vendors.
