Job summary

Riley Power group, LLC is seeking an experienced Air Operated Valve (AOV) Technician in Homestead, FL. The role involves hands-on inspection, repair, refurbishment, and reinstallation of valve actuators across various sizes and manufacturers, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality documentation.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of industrial AOV repair experience, be proficient with valve-related tools, and capable of documenting findings and communicating effectively

Qualifications

• 3 years industrial air operated valve repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings including background checks.

Responsibilities

• Remove, inspect, refurbish and reinstall all valve actuator sizes and types (Direct, reverse, diaphragm, piston, etc.) from different manufacturers.
• Inspect overall condition, internal parts wear, and usability; document findings per site procedures.
• Repair and rebuilding of air operated valve internals.
• Determine necessity of replacing parts.
• Set actuator bench and valve stroke and other important AOV parameters.
• Pack and adjust packing as needed.
• Positioner and I/p rebuilds, replacements and calibrations.
• Air supply regulator, limit switch, booster adjustments, rebuilds and/or replacements.
• Solenoid air supply valve replacements.
