Job summary

Cognite in Houston is seeking a technically adept pre-sales engineer to lead client engagements and translate complex industrial AI solutions into clear ROI. You will partner with account executives to move opportunities from strategy to live demonstrations, prototyping with Atlas AI and Cognite Data Fusion, and shape product requirements based on field feedback while traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years in forward deployed engineering/pre-sales roles in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software.
Strong engineering background in CS/Math/Software Eng/Physics/ML.
Strong Python skills and GenAI knowledge (embeddings, RAG, prompt chaining).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to be on the ground where impact happens.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to prioritize strategic opportunities and act as the technical lead for complex engagements.
Lead design and implementation of first-of-their-kind industrial AI agents using Atlas AI and data fusion.
Translate requirements into high-level use cases and deliver client-focused demos proving ROI.
Bridge field learnings with Cognite Product to shape Industrial DataOps practices.
