Job summary

Lovett Industrial seeks an Associate in Dallas/Fort Worth with 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, development, and underwriting. You will perform advanced financial modeling, develop market assumptions, and support capital transactions across the DFW Metroplex.

You will interact with design consultants, lenders, brokers, and the development team while building a strong North Texas network and staying on top of market dynamics, including submarket trends and property

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant real estate finance, acquisitions, development, and/or underwriting experience.
• Proven experience with Excel-based financial modeling and strong analytical skills.
• Experience and proficiency with ARGUS Enterprise.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and create real estate documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced financial modeling and valuation analysis (ARGUS and Excel) for potential acquisitions and ground-up development opportunities across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
• Develop project-level and market-level assumptions and incorporate them into the models with input from the development team.
• Support the analysis, documentation, and execution of capital transactions including acquisitions and financings.
• Interface with design consultants, contractors, leasing brokers, lenders, and legal counsel.
• Build a strong network with brokers, landowners, developers, and other real estate professionals in North Texas.
• Conduct independent research and monitor DFW market indicators such as construction starts, absorption, vacancy, and rents.
• Underwrite property tax exposure and reflect incentives in project underwriting.
• Assist with evaluating Texas economic development incentives and related reimbursements.
• Diligence site infrastructure including power, water, drainage, and rail where applicable.
