GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Inspector to perform field observation and inspection on transportation projects across Indiana.

The role reports to the Project Supervisor or Resident Project Representative and involves documenting progress through daily and status reports, coordinating with clients, contractors, and the public, and ensuring compliance with project plans and specs. Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation construction and QC practices.
• Familiar with INDOT/DPW specs and inspection requirements.
• Able to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Inspect contractor work and document progress and quality.
• Able to measure quantities of materials.
• Perform material testing.
• INDOT certified technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform field monitoring on multisite/phase construction projects of moderate to large scale.
• Generate and substantiates reports and documentation regarding construction, materials, integration, equipment, and operations.
• Provide documentation of construction progress through daily or status reports.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and the public in meetings and communications.
