Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to perform construction observation on transportation projects across Indiana.

You will report to the Project Supervisor or Resident Project Representative and coordinate with clients, contractors, and the public in meetings and other communications forms. The role requires reading plans, measuring quantities, performing material testing, and ensuring quality control per INDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of transportation construction and quality control practices.
• Knowledge of Indiana DOT/DPW specs and inspection requirements.
• Read and interpret construction plans and technical documents.
• Inspect contractor work and document progress and quality of work.
• Ability to measure quantities of materials.
• Perform material testing.
• INDOT certified technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and inspection on transportation projects.
