Job summary

Varda Space Industries seeks a Director of Indo-Pacific Defense Strategy & Business Development, based in Honolulu, to architect Varda's presence across the USPACOM AOR. You will be the primary interface with commands, agencies, and allied nations.

This builder role drives engagement with PACFLT, USARPAC, PACAF, and partners across the Pacific Rim, shaping missile defense programs and hypersonic initiatives. Travel up to 50% while managing end-to-end solicitations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, international relations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of DoD aerospace, defense technology, or international strategic development experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance, or ability to be fast-tracked; U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the Pacific Rim and the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Command Engagement: primary point of contact for Honolulu-based commands and align capabilities with theater requirements.
• Allied Nation Defense Sales: identify, qualify, and close new business with Pacific Rim allies for missile defense testing and hypersonic research.
• Market Architecture: engage with DoD agencies and international ministries to integrate reentry testbeds into regional exercises and programs.
• Proposal & Capture Leadership: lead domestic and international solicitations from white paper development through final proposal submission.
• Technical Advocacy: translate INDOPACOM requirements into theater-specific solutions for proposals and BD efforts.
• Stakeholder Relations: build a robust pipeline with U.S. government leads and Pacific Rim partners.
• Theater Visibility: represent Varda at LANPAC, TechNet Indo-Pacific, and defense symposiums.
