Job summary

Varda Space Industries seeks a Director of Indo-Pacific Defense Strategy & Business Development based in Honolulu. You will define Varda's presence across the USPACOM theater, building strategic alliances and identifying opportunities in missile defense and hypersonic programs.

You will lead engagement with USPACOM, US government leads, and allied nations, guiding proposals from initial concept to contract award, and ensure our capabilities are represented in regional defense initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Varda's main contact for USPACOM and Pacific commands; align hypersonic reentry and defense capabilities with theater requirements.
• Identify, qualify, and close new business with Pacific Rim allies (Japan, South Korea, Australia) across the full sales cycle.
• Engage DoD and international ministers to integrate reentry testbeds into regional exercises and programs.
• Lead domestic and international solicitations from white papers to final proposal submission.
• Translate INDOPACOM requirements into technical solutions with engineering teams for theater proposals.
• Cultivate relationships with US government leads, international defense attachés, and private partners to build a robust pipeline.
• Represent Varda at LANPAC, TechNet Indo-Pacific and defense symposiums across the Pacific Rim.
