Job summary

Democracy Now! is seeking an Individual Giving Manager to lead digital and direct mail fundraising initiatives and cultivate mid-level donors in NYC. The role reports to the Director of Development and guides a small team while coordinating intern support and donor stewardship across channels.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in nonprofit fundraising, strong copywriting, and experience managing $1,000+ donors. This is an NYC-based, in-person position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in nonprofit fundraising or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year developing fundraising materials including copywriting.
• Experience soliciting donors giving $1,000+ annually.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and CRM data.
• Excellent communication and donor stewardship skills.
• Familiarity with donor research and prospect pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive individual giving strategy.
• Lead digital and direct mail campaigns, including copy, layout, execution, and analysis.
• Oversee monthly giving program from solicitation to stewardship.
• Cultivate and steward donors in $1,000–$5,000 range and manage a prospect portfolio.
• Supervise interns and volunteers; support team operations.
• Coordinate donor events and cultivation activities.
