Job summary

Auburn University is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to support the lending function by performing pre-funding quality control, loan document preparation, and processing support across consumer and indirect lending channels. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in loan processing/operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-funding quality control review of loan files to verify accuracy and compliance with policy.
• Review loan documentation (applications, credit approvals, title work, insurance, stipulations) to confirm conditions are satisfied.
• Process indirect lending applications through dealer channels; verify dealer paperwork and pricing against terms.
• Fund approved consumer and indirect loans within turnaround-time standards.
• Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies with loan officers and underwriters.
• Maintain accurate loan file records in core system and imaging management system.
• Monitor rate change schedules and issue borrower notifications per regulatory timing and disclosure requirements.
• Create and distribute indirect lending packets to dealer partners and members via electronic and mail delivery.
• Monitor pipeline reports to ensure timely processing and funding within SLAs.
• Assist loan officers and members with status updates, payoff requests, and servicing questions.
• Stay current on lending regulations (Reg Z, Reg B, and state lending law) and CU policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
