Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Buyer – Indirect Goods and Services in El Segundo, CA. You will lead indirect sourcing, manage a broad spend, and optimize supplier performance across construction, facilities, IT, HR services, and travel.

You will develop negotiations, administer RFPs/RFQs, and drive cost reductions while ensuring compliance with government procurement requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, supply chain, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of six years in strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier/vendor management.
• Experience sourcing for construction and facilities categories (maintenance, repairs, operations, capital projects).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for analysis and communication.
• Understanding procurement lifecycle from strategy to vendor relations management.
• Ability to design, implement, and sustain procurement schedules.
• Strong financial acumen to craft pricing strategies and manage capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and buying of indirect goods and services including construction and facilities to drive value and performance.
• Own and manage a diverse spend across indirect categories, identifying cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance, market conditions, and cost structures for competitive advantages.
• Conduct formal market analysis to assess trends and drivers to support strategy development.
• Develop negotiation strategies, contract structures, and pricing models for best-value outcomes.
• Administer sourcing events (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and manage supplier selection and negotiations.
• Forecast demand for categories, construction projects, and capital expenditures.
• Implement procedures to evaluate supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and deliverability.
• Drive SRM and continuous improvement across assigned categories.
