General Atomics (GA) is seeking a Buyer to join the Indirect Purchasing team at our Torrey Pines, CA location. The role focuses on facilities, construction, and corporate services procurement, managing complex purchases and supplier relations.

The successful candidate will validate requirements, develop procurement packages, award POs, monitor delivery, and ensure policy compliance while supporting program management and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline along with fifteen or more years of progressive professional experience in government and commercial purchasing.
• Must have a thorough understanding of purchasing concepts and principles, FAR and related governmental rules and regulations; and experience demonstrating a broad application of those principles, concepts, and practices.

Responsabilités

• Procures complex parts, materials, capital equipment, goods, and services.
• Validates purchase requisitions and statements of work.
• Selects or recommends suppliers and solicits bids.
• Analyzes supplier responses and performs price analyses.
• Awards purchase orders, monitors delivery, and expedites as needed.
• Ensures compliance with purchasing policies and government regulations.
• May train and guide purchasing staff.
