Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking an Indirect Buyer to manage sourcing and purchasing for facilities, IT, equipment, and professional services. You will lead competitive sourcing, supplier selection, price analysis, and contract administration to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases while complying with procurement policies and FAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or buying experience, focus on indirect goods/services.
• Experience sourcing indirect categories: MRO, facilities, IT hardware/software, professional services, office supplies, travel services, equipment, outsourced support.
• Experience supporting Government contracts and procurement documentation per FAR and policy.
• Knowledge of FAR cost principles: reasonable, allocable, allowable with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase indirect goods/services; manage competitive sourcing and supplier selection.
• Negotiate terms, develop statements of work, and document supplier selections.
• Create/ administer purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, service agreements, amendments, and supplier records.
• Monitor supplier performance: pricing, service levels, lead times, invoicing, corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Finance and Contracts; ensure compliance and audit readiness.

The Indirect Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the goods and services needed to support daily business operations, including facilities, maintenance, IT, equipment, and professional services. This role manages competitive sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up to ensure timely service and cost-effective purchasing. Working closely with internal stakeholders, Finance, and Contracts, the Indirect Buyer follows company purchasing policies and applicable Government contracting requirements, maintains accurate procurement documentation, and supports appropriate cost classification and audit readiness. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong supplier relationships, attention to detail, and the ability to balance operational needs, cost, quality, and compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or buying experience, with a focus on indirect goods and services.
• Experience sourcing and purchasing indirect categories such as MRO, facilities, IT hardware/software, professional services, office supplies, travel-related services, equipment, and outsourced support.
• Experience supporting Government contracts and maintaining procurement documentation consistent with applicable FAR, company policy, and customer requirements.
• Working knowledge of FAR cost principles, particularly the need for purchases charged to Government work to be reasonable, allocable, allowable when applicable, and supported by documentation.
• Ability to conduct competitive sourcing, develop Statements of Work, evaluate quotations, perform price or cost analysis, negotiate terms, and document supplier-selection decisions.
• Experience creating and administering purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, service agreements, amendments, and supplier records.
• Experience managing supplier performance, including pricing, service levels, lead times, invoicing issues, and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with ERP/procurement (NetSuite is a plus) systems and Excel or similar analysis tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to serve internal customers while enforcing procurement policy.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment regarding conflicts of interest, fair competition, confidentiality, and supplier interactions.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a Government contracting, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated environment.
• Experience supporting DCAA, DCMA, internal audit, or customer review activities.
• Experience with contract-flowdown requirements, supplier responsibility checks, and supplier-risk management.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPPM, or an APICS/ASCM credential.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing projects, spend analyses, cost-reduction initiatives, or procurement-system improvements.
