Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction.
• Experience managing and developing project management teams.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Ability to travel across Indiana project sites as needed.
• Strong financial and budgetary acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight across Indiana projects, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the Indiana project management team, including Senior Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
• Define the office structure and roles with executive leadership for clear accountability.
• Identify and pursue Midwest business development opportunities and maintain client/vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on recruiting and developing project management talent.
• Monitor workload and morale, addressing retention risks and fostering a healthy environment.
• Act as primary liaison between Indiana office and McFarland leadership with regular performance updates.
• Oversee project financials: budgets, forecasts, and profitability with project accounting.
• Adapt strategy and staffing plans to market conditions and project needs.
