Job summary

Stine Seed Company is seeking an Independent Sales Representative to cover Muskingum, Perry, and Guernsey counties in Ohio. You will act as the primary ambassador for the Stine brand, developing agronomic knowledge and driving sales across a defined territory.

You will manage existing accounts, recruit new ones, and collaborate with regional agronomists to deliver strong sales support while building lasting grower relationships.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of agronomy experience, crop production or seed sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques, plus strong negotiating skills and the ability to overcome obstacles.
• Proven success in dealer development and retention.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision to meet goals.
• Preference for candidates who can build/maintain strong relationships with growers and understand their needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary ambassador of the Stine brand within the assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of Stine seed products and services relevant to the territory.
• Manage existing accounts and recruit new accounts to increase sales.
• Communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies within the territory to meet sales goals for the district.
• Collaborate with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide high-level sales support within the territory.
• Develop and enhance relationships with customers and potential customers, either personally or through a designated seller.
