Job summary

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed contractors to perform onsite risk assessments from home or office. You will schedule surveys, prepare risk control reports, and service clients in the Bronx, NY area within a ~10 mile radius.

Strong communication and computer skills are required, and a reliable vehicle plus reporting tools are essential. Experience in commercial insurance, risk control, or related fields is a plus; a 15-hour online certification option is offered in lieu of experience.

Qualifications

• Self-directed contractor with the ability to manage assignments independently.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
• Proficient with computers and reporting tools to document surveys.
• Nice-to-have: risk control/insurance experience or completion of a short certification option.

Responsibilities

• Schedule onsite surveys and prepare risk control reports for clients.
• Coordinate with clients to secure local appointments within Bronx area and nearby 10 miles.
• Manage assigned work and complete tasks on time.
• Identify hazards and provide recommendations to improve safety and underwriting outcomes.
