Job summary

A community-based therapy provider is seeking a Recreational Therapist to deliver individualized therapy to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role is an independent contractor position, focusing on community engagement and skill development through recreation. Responsibilities include client assessments, planning therapy activities, and documenting progress. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and the CTRS credential. A flexible schedule including daytime and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recreational therapy.
• Assess client needs and develop treatment plans.
• Document therapy notes as per Medicaid documentation requirements.
