Job summary

A community-focused therapeutic services organization is hiring a Recreational Therapist for in-home and community-based settings. The role involves providing therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation and various certifications, including CPR and a CTRS credential. This position offers the flexibility of working independently while developing meaningful community-based activities. Services are tailored to enhance client skills, promote independence, and facilitate community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with children and/or adults with disabilities.
• Access to electronic devices with internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recreational therapy services.
• Assess client needs to develop treatment plans.
• Document therapy notes consistent with Medicaid requirements.
• Plan and implement therapeutic activities.
• Work independently to maintain a caseload.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently

Education

Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential
