Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographs and assist radiologists with diagnostic imaging. You will collect patient data, verify orders, and ensure proper preparation and consent for procedures.

The role involves positioning, shielding, equipment setup, and collaboration with nursing and ER teams to manage STAT orders. You will document patient history and imaging findings in PACS and records.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• Must obtain ARRT registry within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Current BLS/CPR/AED from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data and verifies physician orders.
• Performs radiographic procedures per radiologist directions.
• Reviews charts to select imaging procedures and ensure patient prep.
• Administers contrast as guidelines allow and ensures consent.
• Positions, shields, and maintains imaging equipment according to protocols.
• Documents patient care and imaging results in PACS or records.
• Coordinates with departments to handle STAT or ASAP orders.
• Maintains equipment and workstation in optimum condition.
